Create Your Own Light This Winter
Winter brings slower energy, so let this be your invitation to create your own light. We don’t need to wait for outside inspiration to spark our inner glow.
Winter calls for reflection, grounding, and imagination.
It’s a reminder that we already have everything we need inside ourselves to create magic and bring our dreams to life. It’s kind of like the ending of The Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy and her friends realize that the gifts they were searching for had been with them all along.
Winter is a journey of its own. It’s gray, cold, dim and dark (a big difference from the rest of the year). But just like we need quiet spaces to think, the world grows still so we can refocus our energy for the season ahead. This is your reminder to slow down, soften your routines, and create your own light in small, intentional ways.
That’s been my approach over the past few weeks. Interestingly, I have more energy by slowing down than pushing through long, busy days. Now that winter’s here, embrace your hibernation core: declutter, connect with loved ones, focus on a few meaningful tasks each day, and allow yourself to rest.
You don’t need to dim your lifestyle because winter is here. You just need a little light for brighter living.
That’s why I created the Winter Adventure Guidebook, a cozy digital eBook for softer, seasonal living. I want to help brighten your season with joyful activities, gentle routines, and mindfulness prompts that support you through winter.
